SETOMBE (FEMALE)
Even though this young female is the largest of the females in the herd, Setombe is not highly ranked in the matriarchal hierarchy of the herd. She has a quiet and refined way about her and whilst she gets on with most of the females, she seems to prefer the company of the bulls.
Setombe is Klaserie’s mother, and while she is very attached to Klaserie, she is not fond of the other calves – in fact, the juveniles appear to be afraid of her!
