LIMPOPO (MALE)

Born to Tokwe on the night of 19 August 2006, this baby elephant heralded the start of a new generation within the Camp Jabulani herd. At birth, she was tiny and needed a little help from the elephant caregivers to feed.

She is the image of her mother. She is exceptionally intelligent, and has grasped basic commands easily – picking them up by mimicking her mother. She arrived to a very inexperienced family herd, and was the first to teach these trained elephants about a maternal instinct they had yet to experience in a family environment. She loves to be loved, and is an affectionate, proud and gentle animal.

Limpopo is the only elephant that Jabulani will allow to walk in front of him on safari.
